The “Best Picture” of 2008 is coming to DVD! That’s right, Slumdog Millionaire is going to be coming to DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($39.98) in America on the 31st March. Thanks to DVDactive for information on the extras below. We are sure that Freida will be featured in a vast majority of the Extras, so as soon as the DVD is released in the UK (where I live), we will have captures of everything to do with Freida. Get the release date on your calendars!
Extras will include a commentary by Director Danny Boyle and Actor Dev Patel, a second commentary by Producer Christian Colson and Writer Simon Beaufoy, a Slumdog Dreams: Danny Boyle & The Making of Slumdog Millionaire featurette, 12 deleted scenes, and a Slumdog Cutdown feature. The Blu-ray release will include all of the above, plus a From Script To Screen: Toilet Scene feature, an Indian Short Film (“Manjha”), a Bombay Liquid Dance Music Video, and a digital copy.

“After six months of doing this everyday, I can’t tell you what looks good. Clothes look so different on hangers. I’ve become so much more aware of the fashion world recently – and I’m doomed now. There’s no turning back.”
- Freida Pinto, Vogue India
We have them, the much awaited scans from Vogue India March 2009! Freida looks absolutely breathtaking on the cover and inside the magazine, photographed by Regan Cameron. It’s hard to believe that Freida was an unknown six months ago, and now look at her! The article is really sweet as well and it sums up what’s Freida’s life has been like for the past few months. Enjoy!
These scans were made exclusively by Freida Pinto Net, so please do not take them without permission. Also, if you take them you must not remove the tags. Thanks!

As promised before, we have a new layout for Freida Pinto Net featuring a shot from that gorgeous Arena shoot. I wanted to keep the colors bright and vibrant, reflecting on Freida’s life at the moment. The site will be under-going major changes soon, as I will be added a lot more pages and features. For now, enjoy all the latest news that keeps on coming on Freida! I have added a few more photos of Freida’s events today in the gallery! Enjoy and don’t forget to leave a comment on the new layout! Also, if you find any problems, please don’y hesitate to contact me here. Thanks!

Freida has been here, there and everywhere recently and has been on the cover of Cosmpolitan, Maxim, Entertainment Weekly and Vogue all in the same month! We have added scans for only one, which is Entertainment Weekly, thanks to PinkBaloons at TFS. We have also added a whole handful of outtakes from the Cosmopolitan shoot! For Vogue, we have added an outtake for the shoot, and scans will be coming in a few days! Finally, Freida was featured in an article for the LA Times, where she posed for some beautiful, natural shots of her. You can read the article below.
A black SUV sidles up to the curb on Pioneer Boulevard and out climbs Freida Pinto in Chanel shades and a royal blue Moschino dress, with her makeup artist, the makeup artist’s assistant and her publicist in tow. It’s quite an entourage for sleepy Artesia, home to Southern California’s Little India, where mom-and-pop restaurants mingle with sari shops and the smell of curry floats out of open doors.
But what else would you expect from Pinto, 24, the Indian beauty whose first big-screen role as Latika in “Slumdog Millionaire” has turned her into an award season sweetheart? In the last few months, the film has won nearly every award possible, and Pinto has been flying from one red carpet to another — Dubai, to L.A., New York to London.

Freida is being featured in a lot of magazines lately! Firstly, she is featured in a short article in Zoo Magazine, a UK men’s weekly. Then she is also featured in Maxim India, which is great that she landed another cover in India. Finally, she is with Dev and the Oscars on the cover of this weeks, Entertianment Weekly. Sadly, there is no new photoshoots, but the pictures are great all the same. We hope to bring scans to you soon! Here is a snippet of what is in the Entertainment Weekly article. Remeber, I love to accept contributions, so contact me at this email. You can also vote for Freida here, for the best dressed at the Oscars.
“I was struggling. I was presenting this travel show. I was coming to the end of it and had enjoyed the nine months of traveling. I was like, Oh, now my life’s over. I’m not going to have anything interesting to do. I was frustrated that I hadn’t found the right project. But now I think that the fruit of the struggle ends up being the sweetest taste possible. I mean, this is strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, bananas – the sweetest fruits in the world put together. It changed my life. It made me grow. It’s made me equipped to brave challenges in the future. You can’t predict the future, but I do have this optimism and this hope that if I just continue dreaming and continue working the same way, then I’ll be unstoppable.”

Freida is on the cover of Vogue India!! She looks absolutely stunning, and I can’t wait to see scans from this shoot! I am so excited, as you can tell! The magazine which hits stands today, features exclusive interviews about life before the Oscars, bonding with Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio and her future plans. At the Vogue shoot, when a reporter asked stylist Tiina Laakkonen why Pinto isn’t being dressed exclusively in Indian fashion, Tiina grabbed a pencil and scribbled her answer on a scrap of paper, “Because she’s international now!” We’ll have scans as soon as possible! Stay tuned!
