Lack of Updates!

Sorry guys for the lack of updates, both me and Freida have been very busy lately. With me, I have been revising for and doing over 14 exams over these few weeks. I have now completed 7, so have 7 more to go! With Freida, she has been working terrifically hard on Miral which should be wrapped up soon. So many updates will be coming after my exams including DVD Captures from Freida’s debut movie, Slumdog Millionaire and maybe also a new layout to come! Please bare with me!

People shoot and Brit-Asian Magazine!

The updates have been pretty slow recently, due to Freida filming in Israel for Miral. Meanwhile, I have updated the gallery with a recent shoot that Freida did for People magazine alongside Dev Patel. Freida looks effortlessly gorgeous in the pictures and she truly does suit ever color that they put on her. Also, Freida is featured on the cover of interactive magazine, Brit-Asian which you can view here. Freida is featured on page 16 and I have added the beautiful cover to the gallery. In other exciting news, Freida is a potential nomineee for “Breakthrough Female Performance” in Slumdog Millionaire at the MTV Movie Awards. The great thing about the awards is that you can vote, click here to vote for Freida! Thanks to Allybo for the heads up.

Projects Update!

Not only has Freida been officially confirmed now for Miral, a film that documents the real-life story of Hind Husseini. But, now Nicole Kidman has been confirmed to star in Woody Allen’s next project! I couldn’t of wished for two more different and interesting projects for Freida’s next films.

Nicole Kidman will star in Woody Allen’s next film, joining the already announced cast of Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Naomi Watts.

The as-yet-untitled film is produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures. It is financed by Mediapro, the Spain-based company that also funded “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”

Freida in “Miral”!

Apparently, Freida is currently in Israel preparing to shoot her new project, Miral! This must be her new project! Exciting stuff! It’s also great that she is choosing different and unique directors to work with.

Freida Pinto, the Indian actress who starred in the Oscar-winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire, arrived in Israel last week ahead of shooting for a new film by critically acclaimed writer-director Julian Schnabel.

Schnabel, whose recent film, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly won awards and praise, will begin shooting his next project, Miral, a joint French-Israeli production in April.

The movie is set in Jerusalem, and it chronicles Hind Husseini’s effort to establish an orphanage in the city following the creation of the state in 1948. It is scheduled to be released in 2010.

Although the filming does not start for another month, Pinto arrived early in order to get into character, the production team said.
