Freida in Hi! Blitz

There has been few updates since Freida has been shooting Miral in Israel, and while i’ve been doing my exams (which will be over by tomorrow). But, we have some low quality scans of Freida in Indian magazine, Hi! Blitz. She looks so stunning in this shoot, so hopefully we will get some better quality versions in the future. Also, I have added to the gallery a fabulous outtake from the Vanity Fair shoot done for the March issue. Enjoy!

Projects Update!

Not only has Freida been officially confirmed now for Miral, a film that documents the real-life story of Hind Husseini. But, now Nicole Kidman has been confirmed to star in Woody Allen’s next project! I couldn’t of wished for two more different and interesting projects for Freida’s next films.

Nicole Kidman will star in Woody Allen’s next film, joining the already announced cast of Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Naomi Watts.

The as-yet-untitled film is produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures. It is financed by Mediapro, the Spain-based company that also funded “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”

Freida in “Miral”!

Apparently, Freida is currently in Israel preparing to shoot her new project, Miral! This must be her new project! Exciting stuff! It’s also great that she is choosing different and unique directors to work with.

Freida Pinto, the Indian actress who starred in the Oscar-winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire, arrived in Israel last week ahead of shooting for a new film by critically acclaimed writer-director Julian Schnabel.

Schnabel, whose recent film, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly won awards and praise, will begin shooting his next project, Miral, a joint French-Israeli production in April.

The movie is set in Jerusalem, and it chronicles Hind Husseini’s effort to establish an orphanage in the city following the creation of the state in 1948. It is scheduled to be released in 2010.

Although the filming does not start for another month, Pinto arrived early in order to get into character, the production team said.

Site Update and Article!

As you may of noticed, I haven’t updated the site recently with any recent news or images featuring Freida. I do not even need to cover the Bond girl rumor, as Freida has already said it is not true. What I have been doing is setting up the new layout for the site, theres just one small thing that needs to be added, and then I can put the new layout up. For now, you can read this very interesting interview with Freida, which features what Freida makes of all the rumors.

This Mumbai girl has made India very proud. From Hollywood projects to being a brand ambassador along with being featured in every leading fashion magazine, Freida Pinto has arrived. She spoke to CNN-IBN’s chief entertainment correspondent Rohit Khilnani about her herself, Slumdog Millionaire future projects, personal life and more.

Rohit Khilnani: It has been a long journey for you. Tell us about it.
Freida Pinto: It has been wonderful ever since I started on Slumdog Millionaire. It has been rewarding, we have had our ups and downs but I have learnt a lot in the last one-and-half years. And I know I wouldn’t have been able to do so had I not got this opportunity. In terms of growth it has been very helpful.

Freida at “Another” event and updates on EL!

After attending the Chanel Fashion Show at Paris Fashion Week, Freida headed to the Post Show after in celebration of Another Magazine and Chanel’s show. It’s great to see her getting cosy with Karl Lagerfeld, obviously he was taken by her utter beauty, so had to take a picture! In more good news, I have added two new shoots to the gallery that we didn’t have before. There is the shoot for Moving Pictures which features co-star Dev Petal and a shoot for Venice magazine! Freida looks phenomenal in both and are certainly some of my faves! In bad news though, it seems as if the rumor about Freida being the new face of Estée Lauder were false, but we still have hope yet. Here’s what Freida said on the subject.

“It’s chaos,” marveled Freida Pinto, who says she dreamed of attending a Chanel show. “I didn’t expect to be sitting on the front row,” she gushed, adding that the speculation she has a contract with Estee Lauder, is but “a lovely rumor.”

Freida in Elle!

Freida is featured in a new spread for Elle magazine! Thanks to JustJared.com, we have two scans from the magazine and Freida looks really stunning (I think i’m getting tired of saying that … not!)! Hopefully, we’ll be able to get you the full spread soon! Meanwhile, below is a small part of the article featured in the magazine.

Need we say more than she played the heartbreakingly beautiful love interest in Slumdog Millionaire? Pinto, 24, has yet to sign on to her next project. But as the star of this year’s best picture darling, the former Mumbai model has the luxury to take her time with her next pick.

Freida IS the new face of Estée Lauder!

As previously reported, there was a rumor that Freida was going to become the new face of cosmetics company, Estée Lauder, and now she has made the deal, worth about $350,000! That’s great news for Freida and I can’t wait to see her ad campaigns that will surface once she’s started shooting. Below is a summary of the recent deal.

Freida Pinto has landed a £200,000 ($350k) deal to be the new face of Estee Lauder, according to reports. The Indian actress – who shot to fame after starring in the Oscar-winning Danny Boyle film Slumdog Millionaire – will join the likes of Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow by becoming the make-up company’s “spokesmodel”.

The deal will make Freida, 24, for the firm’s first Indian face, according to British newspaper The Sun. “Freida is hot property right now,” a source said. Freida’s spokesperson said he could not comment on the report before Estee Lauder releases a statement, but did say: “We are getting two or three offers every day from national as well as international firms.”

Pinto’s next movie role will be in a new Woody Allen film alongside Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas. It starts filming in London in July.

I am represented by CAA, one of the most powerful agencies in Hollywood. It was through them that I got this role. I met Woody Allen a few days after the Oscars and that’s how it happened.

Cosmopolitan & Hello Scans of Freida!

You may of noticed a few days ago that i added scans from the March issue of Cosmopolitan India featuring Freida in a various array of dresses. She looks so stunning in every single one!
